Food Services Program Information

With the finalization of the State budget complete, Buchanan Community Schools will continue to offer free breakfast and lunch to all students for the 2025-26 school year as part of the Michigan School Meals Program, a resource funded through the State’s annual budget.

Even though meals are free to all students, we continue to encourage families to fill out the Education Benefits Form if you have not yet done so. Qualifying families may be eligible for other benefits such as Summer EBT cards, and our schools may also qualify for certain grants. Forms are available in each school’s office and online at https://buchanan.familyportal.cloud/

If you have any questions about your student’s school breakfast/lunch nutritional needs or meal options, please contact Becky Kaltenbach, Food Service Supervisor, at 269-695-8415 or by email at rkaltenbach@buchananschools.com

Buchanan Community Schools is committed to serving the whole child and ensuring every student has the support and resources they need to thrive.
