Kudos to our Middle School! On Friday, January 20, the Michigan Department of Education released our Middle School from Focus School status. We want to thank our staff for their tremendous effort in making sure our students were supported in their learning. Over the past couple of years, we noticed that students made tremendous gains from 5th grade to 7th grade. By the time they leave the Middle School, our students were scoring above the state and county on state assessments. Well done!
On another note, our Buchanan Promise Night for our senior class was a huge success! We had several students with parents in attendance. While in the audience, students were allowed to pull out their cell phones and apply for the scholarship. It was reported today that 31 students have already turned in their applications. If you are a senior student, please make sure your application has been submitted before August of 2017!
