Superintendent Search Input Meetings – June 10th

(Last Updated On: June 5, 2020)

Dear Valued Member of the Buchanan Community Schools District,

As the Michigan Association of School Boards consultant assisting the Buchanan Board of Education in their search for the next Superintendent of Schools, it is important that I hear from as many residents and staff members in order to craft a candidate profile.  Many of you have already taken the online survey which is deeply appreciated.  I also want to offer you the opportunity to meet face-to-face to give your input.

I will be holding three public meetings on Wednesday, June 10 at McCoy Creek Park under the pavilion.  These are drop-in events where you will be able to let your thoughts be known along with others.  The meeting times are:

9:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m.

Noon-1:00 p.m.

6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

You are most cordially invited and encouraged to attend.

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION CAREFULLY.

    1.  As per the Governor’s orders outside gatherings are limited to 100 participants.  (I have never had more than 25 at one of these meetings but still it is important that we understand the law.)
    2. We must practice social distancing.
    3. For the safety of others, I ask all participants to wear a mask.

I hope to see you at one of these meetings.  Thank you.

Mark R. Dobias, Consultant
