Summer School Hours: 8:00 am – Noon, Monday-Thursday
Only Buchanan Students and School of Choice Students to Buchanan may attend Summer School
Summer School (K-7) and Credit Recovery (8-12) at each grade-level is dependent on teacher availability

Step 1. Please read through this entire document
Step 2. Please complete the enrollment form and submit. Your school counselor will review your choices to ensure they meet your credit requirements.
Step 3. When the paperwork is completed and approved, you will receive an email with your log-in and teacher contact information from Edmentum.
PLEASE NOTE: Summer School classes must be completed by noon on July 24, 2025. There are no extensions. Free transportation available, K-10 Free breakfast and lunch provided.
Step 4. Summer School fees are $50 for each credit recovery class and $300 to get a head start on credits for the next school year. Fees should be turned in at the HS office prior to the first day of Summer School. Please make checks payable to Buchanan Community Schools.
PLEASE NOTE: IF A STUDENT ENROLLS IN A SUMMER SCHOOL CLASS THEY MUST COMPLETE THE COURSE OR REIMBURSE BHS FOR THE REMAINING $300 OF THE COURSE COST.
All final exams must be taken in person in the Summer School Lab.

8th & 9th graders enrolled in Summer School are required to attend in-person.
Grades 10 – 11 are allowed to work from home or use the Summer School Lab, room #3104. It is highly encouraged that students attend the open lab hours and work extra at home. We have seen that students are much more successful with scheduling this as part of their day and finish their courses quicker! All final exams must be taken in-person in the Summer School Lab.
