Writer, the Board of Education approve the payment of payroll of $1,228,776.87 and the payment of expenditures of $365,054.09 for invoices from the General Fund and the payment of payroll of $23,557.37 and the payment of expenditures of $70,690.78 for invoices from the School Service Fund.  ROLL CALL VOTE:  K. Laesch, R. Writer, D. Wentworth, L. Miller, and  S. Tobler    NAYS:  None      MOTION ADOPTED

MOTION by D. Wentworth, SECONDED by S. Tobler, the Buchanan Board of Education accepts the retirement of:  Mr. Clarence Grimm – 25 years of dedication and service.  The Board would like to thank Mr. Grimm for 25 years of dedication and service to the Buchanan Community School District.  We wish him the best in all future endeavors. MOTION by S. Tobler, SECONDED by D. Wentworth, The Buchanan Board of Education approves Principal, Mr. Mark Kurland’s recommendation to hire Mrs. Sheila Reitz as Buchanan Middle School Administrative Assistant to Principal for the 2016-17 school year.  Mrs. Reitz will be compensated accordingly to the Buchanan Association of Administrative & Media Assistants contract.

MOTION by L. Miller, SECONDED by K. Laesch, The Buchanan Board of Education approves the recommendation as submitted by Ms. Tricia Gaideski, Business Manager, to purchase three (3) busses and related equipment from Holland Bus Company.  The Board also accept the bid from the bank to finance the acquisition of the property through an installment purchase agreement among the Issuer, the Bank and the Vendor for a total amount not to exceed two hundred forty-one thousand five hundred dollars ($241,500.00) at an interest rate of one and seventy-nine hundredths percent (1.79%) per annum over a period of four (4) years with annual principal and interest payments beginning not later than one (1) year after the date of delivery/funding, with annual interest thereon, based upon a 360-day year, 30-day month.  ROLL CALL VOTE:  K.
