Moccasin Student Council Representatives
2008-09
Last Tuesday, our students voted for Student Council Representatives for grades 2-5. Our first graders were busy passing out voting ballots and tallying up the votes. Thank you to Mrs. Denison and all of the first graders for all of your election work.
The students learned a lot about the privilege and responsibility of being a citizen. They also learned about candidate’s qualifications, speaking in public (all candidates had to give a speech to their classmates on why they would make a good candidate) and running for a representative office.
We would like to thank last year’s student council members for their time and dedication! They planned many great spirit activities and supported many special events!
After the votes were tallied, the following students are our 2008-09 Class Representatives:

SOUP LABEL AND BOX TOP CONTEST
As most of you know, our school asks parents to save Campbell Soup labels and BoxTop for Education and turn them into the school. One of our wonderful parent volunteers, Sharon Riddle, cuts and counts these labels and submits them for some cool items for our school. In the past, Campbell’s asked for just ‘part’ of the label, however, they now need the ‘entire’ label. Keep collecting! Thank you for your support!!
