Conferences are drop-in style this year, so no appointments are needed.  Your student’s schedule will be handed out that night along with maps of the school, hope to see you there.


The public is welcome to walk in the high school hallways after school beginning at 2:45 p.m. Walkers must be in the school by 6:00 p.m. after which time the main doors are locked. Walkers may remain in the building until done walking.

Southwestern Michigan College will host a Medical Career Workshop on Wednesday, November 19th on the Dowagiac Campus from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm.  Students interested in exciting and rewarding careers in health care, fire science, and early childhood education may want to attend.  Please stop by the high school guidance office for more detail.  The deadline for registration is November 14th.  Seats are limited!   


The KFC Colonel’s Scholars Program is available on-line from December 1, 2009 – February 10, 2009 at www.kfcscholars.org.  Seniors with a GPA of 2.75 or better can apply for this $20,000 scholarship.  This could mean up to $5,000 per year for tuition, fees, books, and room and board.

LIONS OF MICHIGAN YOUTH EXCHANGE PROGRAM
Lions of Michigan Youth Exchange program offer summer opportunities for youth to travel and expand their knowledge of family and community life in other cultures. Young people between the ages of 16 - 21 may participate. Each cultural exchange is approximately three to six weeks long, depending on the country to be visited. Youths traveling on the program are responsible for their fees and fares but may write to local Lions clubs and organization to request sponsorship. Applications must be filled out on line and emailed back to the State Chair person. You will need a copy of your passport.
