| BERRIEN COUNTY INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL DISTRICT GENERAL FUND OPERATING BUDGET RESOLUTION | MOTION BY Member D. Wentworth, SECONDED BY Member C. Lee, The Board of Education adopt the following resolution:
WHEREAS: This Board received the Berrien RESA General Fund Operating Budget following the RESA Board meeting of April 10, 2017; and
WHEREAS: In accordance with Section 380.624 of the Revised School Code, this Board must now adopt a resolution expressing its support or disapproval of the proposed Berrien RESA budget, and must submit to the Berrien RESA Board any specific objections and/proposed changes the Board may have to the budget prior to June 1, 2017.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT:
The Berrien RESA General Fund Operating Budget for the 2017-2018 school year be supported, and that the Secretary of the Board is hereby directed to submit a copy of this Resolution to the Secretary of the Berrien RESA Board of Education, along with any specific objections or proposed changes to the budget.

The Board would like to thank Mrs. Craft for 26 years of dedication & service to the students of the Buchanan Community School District. We wish her the best in Future endeavors.

MOTION BY Member H. Burnett, SECONDED BY Member R. Writer, The Buchanan Board of Education adopt the following resolution:
WHEREAS, Buchanan faculty and staff are committed to their philosophy that all students can learn; and
WHEREAS, Buchanan faculty and staff support that philosophy by encouraging, motivating, and inspiring all students to achieve their very best; and
WHEREAS, Buchanan faculty and staff support each other in sharing their expertise and their interest in their students; and
WHEREAS, Buchanan faculty and staff support open communication among administrators, parents, teachers, and students to promote education in the district; and
WHEREAS, Buchanan faculty and staff prepare their students for a global perspective in our rapidly changing world; and
WHEREAS, Buchanan faculty and staff are involved in solving educational problems that will lead to reform in education; and
WHEREAS, Buchanan faculty and staff actively participate in their communities; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Buchanan Board of Education designate, Friday, May 5, 2017, as BUCHANAN FACULTY AND STAFF DAY and call on the citizens and educators in the Buchanan School District to initiate appropriate activities to honor this important segment of our society.

| CONTRACTUAL AGREEMENT FOR THE POSITION OF BUCHANAN COMMUNITY SCHOOLS SUPERINTENDENT

MOTION BY Member R. Writer, SECONDED BY Member S. Tobler, The Buchanan Board of Education approves the Superintendent contractual agreement for the position of Buchanan Community Schools – Superintendent; as defined in the attached contract between Buchanan Community Schools Board of Education and Mr. Timothy J. Donahue. Terms of contract are to commence July 1, 2017, through June 30, 2020.
